Pipe-Plast
04QUALITY · VIRGIN RAW MATERIAL

Virgin raw material. No compromises.

The reliability and service life of a pipeline depend largely on the quality of the original polyethylene. The Pipe-Plast plant in the Almaty region uses exclusively 100% virgin PE 100 pipe-grade material from leading international and domestic petrochemical producers. We categorically avoid recycled granules and cheap additives — which is what lets us guarantee failure-free service of our water and gas pipes for 50 years and more.

Our standard

Which raw material do we make our pipes from?

For pressure pipes for water and gas supply we use strictly vetted granulate grades that have passed international and national certification.

01

SIBUR HD 03490 PE

PJSC SIBUR Holding

Russia
Application
High-pressure water supply and gas distribution networks.
Advantages
Offers increased resistance to slow and rapid crack propagation (SCG and RCP), high impact strength and excellent weldability. Supplied from the plant with perfectly homogenised carbon black for UV protection.
02

Snolene EP 0.26/51 N

Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat

Russia
Application
Pipes for drinking water, domestic use and gas mains.
Advantages
High-density pipe-grade polyethylene with a bimodal molecular weight distribution. Delivers high hydraulic smoothness of the inner wall, chemical resistance and stability under water hammer.
03

CRP100N

Jam Petrochemical Company

Iran
Application
Gas and water pipes of the highest reliability class.
Advantages
A classic pipe-grade PE 100, a recognised benchmark for critical underground utilities. Guarantees resistance to internal pressure under long-term loads and temperature swings.

Why virgin

Why only 100% virgin polyethylene?

Virgin granulate gives predictable behaviour at every stage — from welding the joints to half a century of service in the ground.

Strict compliance with standards

ГОСТ 18599-2001, СТ РК ГОСТ Р 50838-2011, СТ РК ISO 4427-2014 and СТ РК ISO 4437-2014. Every grade we use is certified for contact with drinking water — releasing no harmful substances and changing neither taste nor smell — and approved for gas supply systems.

A flawless weld

The stable melt flow rate (MFR) of virgin granulate guarantees even heating and a strong joint in both butt fusion and electrofusion welding.

Resistance to cracking and ground settlement

Thanks to the quality of the polymer matrix, our pipes take ground movement, seismic activity and water freezing inside the system without rupture.

Guaranteed service life — 50+ years

Virgin PE 100 polyethylene retains its strength characteristics for half a century, preventing failures and operating costs.

Control

How is quality controlled at every stage?

Control runs in three stages — from accepting the granulate to testing the finished pipe.

  1. 01Incoming material control

Every incoming batch of granulate is checked against the producer's quality passport.

  2. 02Extrusion parameters

Automated control of temperature and pressure during production rules out degradation of the polymer.

  3. 03Finished product testing

Finished pipes go through laboratory checks for resistance to internal hydrostatic pressure, elongation at break and geometric wall accuracy (SDR).

Documents

Which documents confirm the quality of the raw material?

Below are documents from the granulate producers: technical data sheets for the grades we run on, and the quality passport for a delivered batch. Click a document to open and download it.
