05What is SDR and which one should I choose?
SDR is the ratio of outer diameter to wall thickness: the lower the SDR, the thicker the wall and the higher the working pressure. SDR17 is commonly used for water supply, SDR11 for gas. Exact selection is based on the design working pressure.
06What is the difference between PE80 and PE100?
PE100 is a denser and stronger grade of polyethylene: at the same pressure it has a thinner wall than PE80, or withstands higher pressure at the same wall thickness. PE100 is the modern standard for pressure pipelines.
07What is a co-extruded pipe?
A multi-layer pipe whose layers are formed simultaneously in the melt during extrusion. Ours is a two-layer pipe d200–630: for water 90% white virgin inner layer + 10% black outer; for gas 90% black + 10% yellow. The white layer is visible proof of virgin raw material.
08Do you have large-diameter PP-coated pipes?
Yes. Pipe-Plast manufactures pipes with a polypropylene protective sheath in diameters 200–630 mm — unique for the region (other plants only go up to 160 mm).
